The road to recovery

One of the things I like about the Book of Mormon is when the authors describe the Lamanites. Usually it's something like "bloodthirsty, indolent, ferocious" or something along those lines. What I like about that is that it shows the prejudices that the writers had toward the Lamanites. I'm sure not all of them were bloodthirsty and indolent. They talk about how the Lamanites have been taught to hate the Nephites, but they seem to do a fine job of passing on their preconceptions as well.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had thought this while reading.

I think it's one of those little, hidden things that shows the Book of Mormon was written by real people.
